Advanced Open Water Course

Advanced Open Water InterSkill Scuba Diving ClubThe Advanced Open Water Diver course helps you increase your confidence and build your scuba skills so you can become more comfortable in the water.

This is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the supervision of your PADI instructor.

The Adventures in Diving program offers both the Adventure Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver certifications.

PADI Adventure Dives can also credit towards the corresponding PADI Specialty Diver certifications.

What is the difference between the Adventures in Diving Program and the Advanced Open Water?

  • If you complete any three adventure dives, you can earn your PADI Adventure Diver certification
  • If you complete your Deep Dive, Underwater Navigation Dive and three Adventure Dives for a total of five, you can earn your Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

What next?

  • You will need the PADI Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying certification from another organization)
  • Minimum age: 15 (12 for PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver)
  • Choose 5 adventure dive specialities from the list below ( for the Advanced the Navigation and Deep are mandatory)
  • or Choose three for your Adventures in Diving Certification

  2. Drift Dive
  3. Deep Diver * needed for the Advanced Certification
  4. Dry Suit Diver
  5. Multilevel Diver
  6. Night Diver
  7. Peak Performance Buoyancy
  8. Search and Recovery Diver

  11. Underwater Digital Photographer
  12. Underwater Navigator * Needed for the Advanced Certification
  13. AWARE Fish Identification
  14. Wreck Diver

How long will the course take?

  • A Minimum of 5 dives over two days for the Advanced
  • A minimum of 3 dives – usually over a single day for the adventure diver certification

What is needed for the course?

  • The course price includes all the required manuals
  • You may like to buy a dive log (priced at €50) to log your adventure dives – available from the shop
